Rose and Dean

Friday night was just so so special. Dean was determined to spend the night with me. It was quite possibly one of the most flattering moments of my life. Becca asked him when we were at the condo and he went and got his suitcase immediately and went to the door and said "let's go". Rose tagged along. I wish Solomon would have been with us but he and Neall went to the Grizzlies game. I hold no power when pitted against basketball with that boy.

As we were going to sleep, Dean asked for his mama and I told him to go to sleep and when he woke up she would be here. As soon as his little eyes popped open Saturday morning, he burst into tears "I don't want Mommy to come get me!!!!!!!!" Oh how I love him.

Emmy was still sleeping so we made pancakes--purple unicorns for Rose, red Arkansas shaped for me and orange stars for Dean. Then Rose asked for ice cream for breakfast and of course I said no. She said it had always been a dream of hers to have ice cream for breakfast. I gave the two of them some sherbert and she told me that I made all of her wishes come true. Oh swoon, Aunt Tawa....

Speaking of that suitcase.... Dean had all of his books and things in it. He also had his Winnie the Pooh backpack so I asked what was in it. "My tools."

The Saab

It is completely impractical, but we got a convertible this year. We also discovered we are not convertible people but we had a little fun.

Universal Studios!

The girl is all about the Simpsons. She was so excited to see the Simpsons' Springfield at Universal Studios. She and John had the absolute best time ever. It rained all day and we finally broke down and bought ponchos and new clothes. We didn't get to see quite as many characters as we had hoped but we got to see the most important ones!

This is how I felt when I went back to work on Monday!
