The Best Mother Daughter Date Ever. When JT was here before, Emmy wanted to go but was way too young. She made me sign a contract that we would go when he returned. Never one to go back on my word, we did!

Cathy's retirement

Our precious Cathy retired this year! After years of teaching in Jonesboro, this was her last year. We celebrated with a beach trip to Gulf Shores. Cathy and Ted went there for their honeymoon and always talk about it, so we invited them to join us. Ross came and Tara, Lucas, Teriann and Audrey met us there too! Interestingly, my cousin Jordan was getting married in Gulf Shores the same weekend so I got to attend. 

Graduation

After six years at Idlewild Elementary School, our girl graduated to middle school. This school was so special to us. Emmy came here from Idlewild Presbyterian preschool with a group of kids who she has been with all along. After we moved to our new house, we walked to school most days and Emmy and John walked home every day. It was a precious place for her to learn and we are so lucky.

Emmy's fanclub came to graduation and of course, we had a pool party to celebrate with her class.

Dean-o

Our sweet little boy graduated WeeSchool this year. He is the funniest little dude in the world.

Washington, DC

Emmy's school took a trip to Washington, DC or as Emmy called it "the District". She did great without us but John and I struggled a bit. However, a good time was had by all.
