Circus

John is in love with the circus; I think it's more about the dirt bikes doing ridiculous tricks, but whatever. There aren't many circuses left so we took the chance when we saw one was in town.

Science experiment

This was our first year in the science fair at school. Emmy tested if she could power a lightbulb with a lemon. Spoiler alert--it was a success!

Just like that, she is 10!

Emmy is in to all things Paris and art so we had a Parisian party to celebrate turning 10. We strung lights upstairs and the girls slept "under the stars" after having a painting class. 

 

 

Emmy picked out all the groceries and stocked the minifridge; some may have had more junk food than they are used to eating!

 

Of course, the best birthday gift of all was spending the night with Nana and seeing her baby Audrey.

 

And then coming home to a silly giant stuffed elephant for Valentine's Day.
